The food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic but what really made this place shine was the incredible service!! It won't disappoint!!

Excellent service and delicious breakfast, an happy place to start my day! I had the veggie omelette, it was very delicious and huge portions, with a glass of iced coffee on a hot day, even offered refills, try that at Starbucks!

Laguna Cafe family friendly environment with great food, humble atmosphere and a deep appreciation for our United States Military makes this breakfast spot the best breakfast location in south OC. On a side note; you need to get here early if you're looking for the chicken fried steak. It's the first item to sell out.

Friendly service. Clearly a locals spot for the crew in Laguna Woods. This is a nice local cafe with good traditional meals. Apparently Wednesday is meatloaf day - but I was vibing breakfast Sausage and cheese omelet. Good. Cooked well. Not oily. And they have Cholula - a must for a good breakfast. Biscuits and Gravy. Fantastic flavor on the gravy. When you think of great biscuits and gravy - it's these. Fruit was fresh. Indoor and outdoor seating. My parents had a smile on their face the whole time. What else do you want other than a place where you feel welcome and get good nourishment? Kudos.

Good food, not fancy. Good service, casual. I love this place but I know many people might not. So here's what to expect. This has the feeling of walking into a small town breakfast joint where everyone knows each other while you visit your grandparents and aunts and uncles. The staff is friendly and will treat you like they've known you forever. Seating outside is a lot calmer than seating inside. Inside feels like you are at a big old family get together. The tables are close and it's small. The chairs, furniture, cups, etc. don't match. The walls are lined with photos, memorabilia, etc. To some, it probably feels cluttered or claustrophobic. Now, I started coming here while my mom was declining in health. I wanted to go somewhere small for breakfast and the "spirits" were a plus too. Taking in this place was exactly what I needed. The nearby Laguna Woods Village meant that I was surrounded by my mom's contemporaries and hearing them enjoy life in this intimate setting was so nice. Tam served me, along with another woman whose name I don't remember. They didn't know me but they were so friendly and welcoming and kind. I have since gone back with my grandmother who loved it! And with my wife and children who also loved it. If you are looking for a trendy place, this isn't it. If you want the feeling of superiority when you are being served, this isn't it. But if you want to feel at home in a small town, this is your place.
